April 27th, 2021 - Past and Future
We heard from city staff and neighborhood leaders about ways we can improve public safety in our neighborhoods via involvement in Neighborhood Watch and in our local Neighborhood Council. Additionally, we recognized local neighborhood volunteers who have found ways to go above and beyond in improving our community during the past year, and formally electing DIA board members to serve as board members for the next fiscal year.

September 17, 2020 - Oakland City Budget (Recordings)
The DIA recently hosted an online community forum to provide an overview of how the City of Oakland’s city budget is formed, the current opportunities and challenges with the City’s budget, and the overall outlook for state and local government funding. Panelists include Oakland District 4 Councilmember Sheng Thao, City Budget Administrator Lisa Agustin, Oakland Budget Advisory Commission Chair Jay Ashford, and Segal Co. Vice President and Pension Actuary Todd Tauzer.
